Many injuries are posture-related. Within many of todays working environments (such as desk-based computing) and with general lifestyle demands (commuting or driving) most people suffer from poor posture because they are sitting down most of the time. Resistance training and a good mobility and flexibility programme can help reduce this under the guidance of a Biokineticist.
As a Biokineticist I can assist with orthopaedic conditions by doing a postural, musculoskeletal and flexibility assessment with subsequent exercise prescription. I can assist with the following conditions: neck conditions, back conditions (including scoliosis), shoulder conditions (including frozen shoulder), hip conditions, and knee and ankle conditions. I can also assist persons who have arthritis.
